Yenching Academy Master’s Program in China

The Yenching Academy of Peking University is accepting applications for its 2027 Master’s Program in China Studies, an interdisciplinary, English-taught program bringing together students from around the world to study China from different academic perspectives.

Around 120 students are admitted each year, with international students making up approximately 75% of the cohort.

• Economics and Management

• History and Archaeology

• Philosophy and Religion

• Politics and International Relations

• Law and Society

• Literature and Culture

Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in any field, or current Bachelor’s students who will graduate by August 2027

• Strong academic record

• Interest in interdisciplinary study of China

• Extracurricular achievements, community engagement, social responsibility, and leadership potential

• English proficiency

English requirements:

• IELTS Academic: 7.0

• TOEFL iBT: 100

• Cambridge English Advanced: 185

International applicants whose native language is English or who completed a degree taught in English are exempt from submitting an English-language test.

Funding:

All admitted Yenching Scholars receive a fellowship covering:

• Full tuition fees

• One round-trip travel fare
