Rhodes Scholarship

The Rhodes Scholarship is a fully funded postgraduate scholarship that allows outstanding international students to pursue full-time study at the University of Oxford. The current application cycle is for programmes starting in October 2027.

Study options

• Full-time postgraduate study at the University of Oxford

• Most Master's programmes are eligible

• DPhil/PhD programmes are also available

• Funding is normally provided for at least two years and may be extended to three years for certain doctoral programmes

Funding

The Rhodes Scholarship is fully funded and includes:

• Full University of Oxford course fees

• Annual living stipend — £20,400 per year (£1,700 per month) for the 2025–26 academic year

• University of Oxford application fee

• Student visa fee

• Immigration Health Surcharge

• Economy-class flight to the UK at the beginning of the scholarship

• Economy-class return flight after completing the scholarship

• Settling-in allowance upon arrival in Oxford

The stipend amount is reviewed annually and may change.

Duration

The scholarship normally covers two years of postgraduate study. Funding for a third year may be available for eligible DPhil programmes.
