The NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship supports PhD students conducting research in areas related to accelerated computing and NVIDIA technologies. Selected fellows can receive up to $60,000 in funding for the 2027–2028 academic year and collaborate with NVIDIA researchers.
The fellowship is open to international PhD students. Applicants should have completed at least their first year of PhD studies and be actively conducting research in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system architecture, or a related field. They must remain enrolled as full-time PhD students throughout the nine-month fellowship period.
Research areas include generative AI, language models, computer vision, robotics, computer graphics, autonomous vehicles, quantum computing, security and privacy, healthcare and life sciences, computer architecture, parallel computing, and related fields.
Selected fellows receive up to $60,000, administered through their university and used toward stipend, tuition and mandatory fees. The exact award may vary depending on the student’s location and eligible costs.
A key part of the program is a required in-person summer internship at NVIDIA before the fellowship year begins. Internship locations include the United States, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Israel, Taiwan and Singapore. Fellows also have the opportunity to work with NVIDIA researchers and present their research at GTC in San Jose.
Applicants must submit a research proposal of up to two pages, a CV or resume, and 2–3 recommendation letters, including one from their PhD advisor or professor. NVIDIA evaluates applicants based on academic achievements, research quality, publication record and the relevance of their work to NVIDIA’s research areas.
Application deadline: October 30, 2026. Successful applicants are expected to be notified on January 15, 2027.
