The Greening Energy Market and Finance (GrEnFIn) Erasmus Mundus Joint Master is a 2-year international master’s program designed for students interested in the transition to a low-carbon economy, sustainable energy systems, environmental finance and quantitative analysis.
The program combines studies in economics, finance, energy markets, data analysis and sustainability and is delivered by a consortium of leading European universities. Students study in different countries during the program, gaining international academic experience and exposure to different approaches to the energy transition.
Participants can specialize through different academic tracks, including areas such as renewable energy technologies, environmental finance, and climate and business. The curriculum includes both theoretical and practical components, with opportunities to work on real-world challenges related to energy markets, decarbonization and sustainable investment.
The master lasts 24 months and awards 120 ECTS. The final part of the program includes an internship or research assistantship, followed by the master’s thesis.
Applicants from EU and non-EU countries are eligible to apply. Candidates are generally expected to have an academic background in fields such as Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or Information Technology, as well as at least B2-level English.
Selected students may receive an Erasmus Mundus scholarship, which covers participation costs and provides a monthly allowance of €1,400 for the duration of the program.
