About the program:
The Amelia Earhart Fellowship by Zonta International supports women pursuing PhD or doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences. Up to 30 fellows are selected each year
Requirements:
Applicants must be women of any nationality enrolled full-time in a PhD or doctoral program related to aerospace engineering or space sciences. They must demonstrate a strong academic record and have either completed at least one year of their doctoral program or already hold a master’s degree in an aerospace-related field. Applicants must not graduate before April 2028. Postdoctoral researchers are not eligible
Funding:
Each selected fellow receives US$12,000 to support her doctoral studies. The fellowship can be used at any university or college offering accredited postgraduate programs in the relevant fields
Eligibility:
The fellowship is open to applicants of any nationality. Previous Amelia Earhart Fellows cannot receive the fellowship for a second year. Zonta International members and certain employees or individuals involved with the organization are also excluded from applying
Application process:
Applications are reviewed by the Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowship Committee, which recommends candidates to the Zonta International Board. Applicants are notified of the results by the end of April
