Prequel is a technology company developing creative mobile applications for photo and video editing. Its products include Prequel, Esti, Gio, and Hula.
The company is looking for a QA Lead to manage a team of five QA engineers, improve quality assurance processes, introduce automation and AI tools, and ensure high-quality mobile releases.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of five QA engineers, including mentoring, performance reviews, capacity planning, and hiring.
Design and optimize QA processes, workflows, and quality metrics.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to prioritize testing activities and support efficient releases.
Develop and implement a 3–6 month QA improvement roadmap focused on automation, AI adoption, and reducing manual testing.
Monitor quality and delivery metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and evaluate new approaches.
Requirements
Proven experience managing QA teams, developing employees, and conducting performance reviews.
Strong understanding of modern QA practices, including test automation, CI/CD, risk-based testing, and quality gates.
Hands-on experience testing iOS and Android applications.
Familiarity with mobile release processes, App Store and Google Play, feature flags, and A/B testing.
Experience working with traffic analysis tools and gRPC.
Practical experience applying AI tools to QA workflows.
Strong technical background and understanding of computer science fundamentals.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
Languages: English and Russian.
