TaDA – Textile and Design Alliance invites artists and creative professionals from Switzerland and abroad to apply for its 2027 Artist in Residence Programme in Arbon, Switzerland.

The three-month residency is open to professionals working in art, design, architecture, literature, performing arts, and interdisciplinary fields who have a strong interest in textiles, textile culture, and sustainability.

Residents develop a new project in collaboration with textile companies and institutions in Eastern Switzerland, gaining access to specialist knowledge, technology, infrastructure, and professional support. Experimental projects and new approaches to textile production are particularly encouraged.

The programme provides accommodation in Arbon, a shared workspace, travel costs, and a contribution towards living expenses.

Two residency periods are available: April–June 2027 and September–November 2027. Applicants must have a good command of either English or German.

Applications should include a CV, portfolio, project proposal, and letter of recommendation.
