About the scholarship
The Stamps Scholarship is the University of Miami’s most prestigious merit-based scholarship for exceptional first-year students. It provides comprehensive financial support for up to four years of undergraduate study.
Funding
The scholarship covers:
Full tuition and mandatory fees
On-campus housing
Meal plan
University health insurance
Textbooks
Laptop allowance
A $12,000 enrichment fund that can be used for study abroad, undergraduate research, unpaid internships and other educational opportunities
Eligibility
Applicants must:
Apply as first-year undergraduate students to the University of Miami
Apply through Early Decision I or Early Action
Demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and a strong overall application
Meet the University of Miami admission requirements
International applicants are eligible for the scholarship. No separate Stamps Scholarship application is required.
Selection process
The most competitive applicants are selected as semifinalists. Semifinalists are invited to interview with the Stamps Scholarship Committee, usually by mid-January, after which finalists are selected.
Deadline
November 1, 2026, for Early Decision I and Early Action applicants.
